Sequestered
A variety of views,
the same privacy.
This atelier in the park is designed with privacy at utmost priority. Alongside it, utilising the views of lush greenery is crucial to allow each space to have its unique view out. Detached forms were implemented to have uncompromising spacial qualities of each space.
Hidden entryway, hidden staircase, hidden everything.
Deter public users of the park. One side of the atelier is fully blocked ensuring no one looks in, and no one looks out. Its hidden doorway is tucked behind a bamboo tree, allowing only the owners to enter.
Repetition & Hierarchy.
Hierarchy is shown through the increase of size and height of each structure. This principle is portrayed through its level of privacy as well, where the largest structure is the most private. The principle of repetition is dominated by the repeated use of wood louvres on the west side of the atelier.
